HAFILA
After they finished school, Marlene, Nele and Leila travelled through France, Italy, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, and Hungary on their own with an old bus to explore the borders in minds and maps of Europe and to help and learn about the refugee situation whenever they could. Also, the three turned the idea of a journey into a crowdfunded project called ‚HAFILA‘ which gathered 11000€ from backers who wanted to learn more about the continent and it’s challenges from a different perspective. I had the amazing and un-forgettable opportunity to follow them along on their journey between October and December 2016.
